Operational status
When in working order, the dry pipe hose system line is filled with air under atmospheric pressure up to the remotely controlled valve assembly. The water supply line is filled with water. All valves in the hydrant cabinets are closed.

In the event of a fire
By opening the gate valve in the hydrant cabinet type APIN-ZHO_S, the valve micro switch gives a command to instantly open the main gate valve. After receiving the signal to open the valves in the hydrant cabinets, the dry pipe hose system control unit feeds voltage to the electromagnetic valve fitted in the remotely controlled valve set and water is released from the top chamber of the valve station. Due to an imbalance in the valve, the water is instantly released through the remotely controlled unit. The time of water delivery to the least suitable hydrant spray nozzle is secured by installing a bleeder valve. Simultaneously, the hydraulic alarm gong provides an audible notification of a fire and the fire alarm signal is transmitted to the permanent control point via the pressure switch and dry pipe hose system control unit.

After system activation
Depending on the design solution of the system, the dry pipe hose system line may be fully drained either manually or automatically.
