The Ordinance on the fire hydrant system (OG 8/2006) defines the dry pipe hose system as follows:
“As a rule, the fire hydrant system must be constructed as a wet pipe hose system. By way of exception, due to frost hazard, special features of the technological process or structure, the fire hydrant system or its components may be built, following the approval from the authority competent for fire protection, in the form of a dry pipe hose system. In the case referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article, automatic opening of the gate valve at the beginning of a dry pipe hose system line by opening the gate valve on any hydrant in the dry pipe hose system.”
