Protection using a sprinkler system is considered to be the most convenient on account of high efficiency of extinguishing and cost-effectiveness of installation. The sprinkler arrangement enables simultaneous triggering of the fire alarm and extinguishing of the fire, and only the heads at the fire site are activated. The fire is extinguished based on the principle of extinguishing and cooling down and there is no possibility of flame reigniting, i.e. it is reduced to a minimum. The efficiency of sprinkler systems has been surveyed for over 100 years and it has been found to be excellent. According to the BVFA (German Federal Association for Fire Protection Technology) statistics, fires have been extinguished in 85% of the cases with the maximum of 4 sprinkler heads.

Another great benefit of the sprinkler system is the advantage in the case of property fire insurance. Insurance companies allow up to 65% discount on the fire insurance premium for the building with a built-in sprinkler system compared to the buildings which are not protected.
