Gaseous fire suppression systems (Novec 1230, FM-200, Inergen etc.) are tested in accordance with the standards ISO 14520 (EN 15004) and NFPA 2001 specifying the minimum gas hold time of 10 minutes. The above mentioned may only be tested by conducting a door fan test which is described in the standards ISO 14520 – Annex E and NFPA 2001 – Annex C.

On account of the above, air leakage test in the protected zone is an obligatory and integral part of testing the functioning of gaseous fire suppression systems (FM-200, Novec 1230,
Inergen etc.) laid down in Article 40 of the Fire Protection Act.
