Ansul R-102 restaurant fire suppression system is planned for extinguishing open flame elements, griddles, grills, deep fat fryers and similar elements, and protection of the kitchen hood above the cooking area together with the exhaust duct.<\/p>\n
Ansul R-102 restaurant fire suppression systems have a twofold function:<\/p>\n
1.\tFire alarm function <\/strong> 2.\tExtinguishing function <\/strong> Ansulex fire suppressant extinguishes the fire very effectively by creating a barrier which obstructs the escape of flammable vapours and successfully prevents flame reigniting.<\/p>\n The system may be actuated in two ways:<\/p>\n
\nAn outbreak of fire in the kitchen hood is detected by the mechanical fire alarm system. The mechanical fire alarm system detects the fire via the fusible links connected by a wire cable to a special device Ansul Automan. When the fire starts, the fusible link melts causing an imbalance in the mechanical fire alarm system, which automatically activates the Ansul Automan release assembly which initiates the extinguishing process and automatically shuts off energy supply (electricity and gas).<\/p>\n
\nLiquid fire suppressant Annulet (special solution of organic salts) is stored in a tank mounted on the kitchen wall in the fire suppression system cabinet. This cabinet also holds a nitrogen cartridge which is used as the propelling agent supplying the required pressure to expel Ansulex liquid. When the mechanical alarm system is activated, the Ansul Automan release assembly initiates the extinguishing process by puncturing the nitrogen cartridge whereby the nitrogen is expelled through this pipeline to the spray nozzles directing the flow of liquid to the fire. <\/p>\n\n
